Panel discussion on the launch of "Shocks and Disruptions:
The Relationship Between Food Security and National Security" a report by Henry Jackson Society Research Fellow George Grant
Dominic Dyer, the Chief Executive of AEI will be appearing at this panel discussion on the relationship between food security and national security. The panel brings together experts from a range of different fields to explain how food security impacts on a broad range of critical policy areas. Also Speaking will be Professor Tim Benton, UK Champion for Global Food Security and Professor of Population Ecology at the Institute of Integrative and Comparative Biology; Phil Blower, Director of Campaigns & Policy at Oxfam; and George Grant, Research Fellow at The Henry Jackson Society, who authored the report.

19- 20th April 2012 - Ms Nina Federoff - Former Science and Technology Adviser to the US Secretary of State visited Brussels.
Ms Fedoroff attended two events in Brussels which were attended by AEI's Chief Executive Dominic Dyer in his capacity as Chief Executive of the Crop Protection Association.

Food Security is National Security
Dominic Dyer, the Chief Executive of AEI delivered a speech on global food security in his role as Chief Executive of the UK Crop Protection Association, in New Orleans last week.
He highlighted that the devastating impact of natural disasters and climate extremes in recent years had exposed the fragility of our global food system. He also talked about fact that food security is inextricably linked to national security.
